This week's post showcases two pieces I made to enter contests that I didn't win, but I still like them. The one on the left was entered in Cloth • Paper • Scissors "Life's a Beach" contest. It is a mixed media piece with batik, specialty papers, polymer clay, real shells, and pewter charms. It will be entered in the Lewisville, TX Visual Art League Fresh Ideas show this summer. The one on the right is my entry in Scarlett Lanson's Use the Muse contest. The title is "Thalia's Gift" It includes brass pieces, handmade polymer clay beads, Swarovski crystals and pearls, and vintage glass. The photo doesn't really do it justice.
